Aquamusa Project - A way to explore memories

Aquamusa Project is a tool for the recognition, promotion and preservation of elements of local tradition. Aquamusa Madeira is a project born with the intention of bringing together knowledge and information often confused and disseminated. Arranging them in a more organized system, wants to respond to requests of the public, promote the exploration of the territory and the investigation on a specific issue: handicraft and tradition. The system is made of a website and a mobile app. Its purpose is to analyze, collect and systematize elements connected to the tradition and local production inside the categories "Products" and "People". Aquamusa wants to consider these as witnesses of stories that can become elements of identity of the territory. This stories are associeated to different paths of water. The paths of water are proposed as elements characterized by a strong evocative charge, as in the case of Madeira, the Levadas become real witnesses of the strong link between the earth and its inhabitants and their stories. Aquamusa project purposes a communication of the territory driven by stories of people and products.
