Description
DGBTR is a conference for Broadcasting companies of Korea, China and Japan to share information on development of broadcasting technology. DGBTR has its root from KBS-NHK DGM (Digital study Group Meeting) conference which started in 1998 and KBS-SARFT(ABS) JMBTR (Joint Meeting on Broadcasting Technical Research) conference started in 2003. DGBTR, being a joint conference, has contributed to advancement of broadcasting technology and information exchange among Korea, China and Japan. DGBTR has taken an important role of leading Asia’s broadcasting technology via exchanging and promoting digital broadcasting technology and new media technology. In this year, KBS is at its final stage of digital transition and is focusing on preparing its broadcasting facilities and equipment for analog switch off scheduled at the end of this year. To expand the file-based production and distribution system, KBS established digital work-flow for digitalization of entire work structure.
